I was basically a nervous wreck this morning. Like full snotty tears and red blotchy face kind of wreck. It wasn't a pretty sight. I was extremely excited to go, but at the same time I was SO NERVOUS because I've never been this far from home on my own before. And I'll be gone for a month. However, after spending one day in Madrid, I don't want to go back.
Spain so far is beautiful. The sky is the most perfect shade of blue you will ever see and the clouds look fluffier here. The air feels fresh, clean, and light and even though it's on the warmer side, it feels so amazing outside. Especially when the breeze picks up! We walked around for hours. It was so worth it though. Today was exhausting but so much fun. Madrid is a beautiful city and I highly encourage everyone to experience it!
This post is going to be super short because I'm running on little sleep, have been walking all day, currently jet lagged, been walking in the sun, slightly dehydrated probably, and just ate a bunch of carbs so I'm ready to go to snoozeville. I wanted to write a long post about everything, but my fingers are tingly and when I stay still I feel like I'm still on the plane/rocking on a boat. So if this post didn't make much sense it's because my brain can't do a real life thing right meow. Tomorrow morning we take the train to Sevilla where we will then have orientation with the university that we will be taking the classes at. Yay! Since this post is short and doesn't make sense of have structure here are some pictures instead!
Here's me and my awesome roomie for the month, Danielle!
